ITALA® cameras: Robots eyes in remote inspection systems
Case history AUT
AUT integrates Opto Engineering® ITALA® cameras and optics on its robots for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Evaluation of critical infrastructures in the Oil and Gas, Aerospace and Nuclear industries.
For its applications, AUT has integrated GigE color area scan ITALA® cameras with 2.4MP resolution and a 16mm fixed focal 5MP lens by EN5MP series.
Future developments will include the use of a two-camera system for 360-degree situational awareness around the robots aiming to set up an autonomous vision system that will be able to operate independently with minimal operator support.
The case
